Bluefish444 announces support for Linux |
At IBC Bluefish444 announced that its award winning HD and SD 10 bit
uncompressed video cards now support Linux. The Linux driver has been compiled and tested using RedHat Linux version 9.0 and currently supports audio and video output only of video using V210, Cineon, 8 bit RGB and 8 bit YUV pixel formats, in PAL / NTSC and all HD video modes. Although this first release supports output only forthcoming releases will also support capture of video and audio. “Developers have been requesting Linux support from our range of video cards as the number of high end post production and broadcast applications to support Linux grows. Being an open source operating system will ensure that support for the platform will continue to grow and Bluefish444 will be well placed to support Linux based applications via its SDK”, said Craige Mott General Manager of Digital voodoo. |
